Reading Treasure Island (pronounced traay-zhur, matey) is really playing with my head. This is the last of the books (The Swiss Family Robinson, Robinson Crusoe) from a period of my life when I was really into old English seafaring fiction. It's really taking me back, very immersively. I caught myself, just now, singing:
"Avast, mateys. Exit right, We sail by night On deck, every hand We're off to Treasure Island."
