This is a call

I've only got four minutes left on this calling card
Telling you how I feel is gonna be kinda hard
In that short amount of time,
Can I make you be mine?

There was more to that song... I'll finish writing it later. Right now, it's time for:

New singles!
Anthrax - Crush
Bare, Jr. - Brainwashed
Crystal Method - Comin' back
Doobie Bros. - People Gotta Love Again
Insane Clown Posse - Let's Go All the Way
Martin Lawrence - Live! excerpts from Funk It!
Nixons - Blackout and Miss USA
SR-71 - Politically Incorrect
Steely Dan - Janie Runaway

Anthrax - Crush
Hmm. I am not an Anthrax fan. I did like this song in a sit in your car and listen to it way. I'm in no rush to buy the album (though the Maximum Rock tour with Mötley Crüe and Megadeth could be cool). Not bad at all, though.

Bare, Jr. - Brainwashed
I hear this song on the radio. It's okay. Kind of comedic. I give them points for trying and probably having a lot of fun. Interesting mini-cartoon on the single sleeve.

Crystal Method - Comin' back
Eh. It's definitely no Busy Child (bet they're tired of hearing that).

Doobie Bros. - People Gotta Love Again
Dear God, stop trying to reclaim/bring back the 60's! Make new music. This is the same problem I had with Bad Company's "Hey Hey (I'm in Love Again)" as compared to "Hammer of Love". HoL was a new song by an old band, still recognizeable (took my dad a minit), but not the S.O.S. (same old stuff) like Hey Hey.

Insane Clown Posse - Let's Go All the Way
Damn. Impressed. Not a bad remix of the old song. Newer, Inane Clown lyrics, but not aggressively bad like some ICP. A keeper.

Martin Lawrence - Live! excerpts from Funk It!
Blah blah and more blah. If every fifth word weren't bleeped very poorly (taking about three of its neighbors with it) maybe I could get a sense of Martin's routine. What I heard wasn't that kickin', either. Should I be faux-witty and say, "Wazzup!" "Not your career, Martin!" A-hahaha.

Nixons - Blackout and Miss USA
Yes, and no. Blackout good (I have Foma), MUSA bad (I don't have any Everclear or more AC whiny white boy music).

SR-71 - Politically Incorrect
It's poppy. Almost a little... too poppy.

Steely Dan - Janie Runaway
Yay! New Steely Dan. My love for SD (as we in the biz refer to Donald and Walter. A-hahaha.) is not unconditional. There are songs of theirs I don't like. This isn't one of them. It's not an instant classic, or a fave. It's a song, by Steely Dan. And yes, be prepared for jazz. It's one of this song's saving graces.

That was fun! (Esp. the part where I got to make fun of stuck-up columnists. A-hahaha.) I like writing about music almost as much as I like listening to it. And unlike many of my entries, this one's for the people. So if you liked it, just leave me a little comment that says so. Otherwise I'll just retreat into my shell further and admit I'm worthless to society.
