“Greetings from the Walt Whitman service center in Southern NJ. We're very near to the Delaware border. We got started about 7 o'clock this morning, as you may have seen from my other entry. We stopped once for food. I think I'm gonna get gas now, even though we don't need it, because the gas is cheaper in NJ. We've stopped a grand total of twice so far, making good time. We called my grandmother to wish her a happy birthday.
