I went to a sign language class tonight. I learned the alphabet, and how to sign "My name is [spell your name]." N-A-T is ridiculously easy, because all I have to do is move my thumb. I also learned how to sign "senior," "psychology," and "sleep research." If I ever get my digital camera set up, I'll put it on the tripod and record myaelf signing (if anyone out there reads sign). I was proud of myself for following Maestra Woods-Murphy's advice and sticking to the language; signing "S-R" for senior rather than speak out loud, until I learned the sign for it. I also spelled "antidistestablishmentarianism" because I'm a punk.
