"Clear the battlefield and let me see / all the profit from our victory."

Instead of "Proud Army Parent" or "My Son is a Marine" bumper stickers, how about "My Child is Cannon Fodder." Or, even better, (and Becca agrees on this): "My son was only following orders."

"Were the blades of grass and arrows rain, then there'd be no sorrow, be no pain." (though that last word should be shame)

And, while I'm at it: "The role of government is to protect its citizens from foreign powers and from themselves. The role of the citizenry is to protect themselves from government." If that's not already a quote, it damn well should be. Make a note of it!
