Further observations today:
- The time for war has come and gone. Now, planes, bombs and suitcases can reach anywhere in the world. It does not take the resources of a nation to wage war. Ever man's personal grievance is a nuclear threat. Isn't it time to eliminate grievances? The strongest defense is not to give offense. Don't take upon yourself another's business; mind instead the plank in your own eye.
- Blame is not only a sin, but a waste of time and/or energy. There is no single cause for anything, but rather a harmony of circumstance. And blame implies that something negative has happened, when no occurence is negative or positive unless you let it be. Blame looks backwards, not forwards—or better, inwards.
- How many moments make up this sentence?
- A Knight of Faith cannot lose faith, for if he loses faith, he loses himself. He does not become a Knight With Less Faith or a Knight Without Faith; he simply ceases to be. A Knight of Faith is acquainted with the idea that the abyss looms near and may claim him at any moment; death is not a stranger. But this is something far worse than death. To be dead is acceptible to a Knight; to not be living another thing altogether.
- I can make the drive from the Borders in Fort Lee to the one at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus and back in 30 minutes, if there's no one else on the road.
It is the fire that lights itself
But it burns with a restless flame
The arrow on a moving target
The archer must be sure of his aim
It is the engine that drives itself
But it chooses the uphill climb
A bearing on Magnetic North
Growing father away all the time
Can't stop moving
Cant stop moving
Can't stop—
You may be right,
It's all a waste of time
I guess that's just a chance I'm prepared to take
A danger I'm prepared to face
Cut to the chase
Just a danger I'm prepared to face
Cut to the chase
It is the rocket that ignites itself
And launches its way to the stars
A driver on the busy freeway
Racing the oblivious cars
It's the motor of the Western world
Spinning off to every extreme
Pure as a lover's desire
Evil as a murderer's dream
Can't stop moving
Can't stop moving
Can't stop—
You may be right,
It's all a waste of time
I guess that's just a chance I'm prepared to take
A danger I'm prepared to face
Cut to the chase
Just a danger I'm prepared to face
Cut to the chase
I'm young enough not to care too much
About the way things used to be
I'm young enough to remember the future
The past has no claim on me
I'm old enough not too care too much
About what you think of me
But I'm young enough to remember the future
The way things outght to be
Cut—
—Cut
Cut—
Cut to the chase
You may be right,
It's all a waste of time
I guess that's just a chance I'm prepared to take
A danger I'm prepared to face
Cut to the chase
What kind of difference can one person make?
