Because, seriously

No shit. The analogy I always use is that if someone on the street wants to put a knife into you, they're going to do it if you don't know it's coming. Of course, you could run around suspecting everyone, but then you might as well get yourself a bear suit and walk around in that. Or stay home, where you're safe from everything but maybe a fucking meteorite.

Your bear suit might stop a knife, but what about a suicide bomber? Where do you stop armoring yourself? When do you stop fearing? Because that's the state our country is in right now.

Rather than educate themselves about the best way to protect themselves (take a self-defense class and STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM BEARS) against threats of personal or on-line security, people just want to turtle in and restrict others' freedoms as well.

Fucking assholes.
