Clever boy

Hmm, I wonder: If you were to somehow clock the funny, would I be a laugh a minute? Because some minutes I make people laugh several times in rapid succession. And other minutes, the only one laughing is me.

But I've been giving more thought to being funny lately. I've realized making people laugh is one of my true loves. What I otherwise wonder is whether or not other famous stand-up comedians hit this age where they suddenly "got it" and started making people laugh pretty consistently. Because I was the lamest, most boring child. Still am, but that's for me to know and you to find out. But darned if I didn't read every joke, insult, and riddle book I could lay hand to. It's like that line in the Roger Waters song: "...and the monkey in the corner wrote the joke down in his book."

I need to purge some of these damn memories more. What the hell is this journal for again?
