Love after death

[20:33:40] <gimpette> A friend asked me the other day: 'So when are we all going to see you smile again?'
[20:33:49] <Dark> I feel like you're both people I'd like very much to hang out with in real life
[20:33:57] <gimpette> I replied 'After I'm dead.'
[20:34:01] <Dark> And there's lots of people who blah blah to me that I could care about.
[20:34:11] <Dark> That's one of my favorite replies.
[20:34:26] <Dark> could care less about
[20:34:26] <gimpette> That reply works for everything.
[20:34:33] <Dark> It does.
[20:35:15] <gimpette> I hope that it doesn't answer the question 'When will I find /her/?'
[20:35:34] <Dark> Heh
[20:35:37] <Dark> It might
[20:35:44] <Dark> But then, will it be so bad?
[20:35:50] <Dark> You'll be with her.
[20:35:59] <gimpette> Though it would be nicely ironic if it did.
[20:36:13] <gimpette> Heh, nice way to look at it. You see bad in good, very clever.
[20:36:22] <Dark> I can think of worse afterlives.
[20:36:31] <Dark> It's my specialty. I'm the Dark Smile.
[20:36:40] <gimpette> Actually, that would kind of kick ass.
[20:36:53] <Dark> Wouldn't it?
[20:37:03] <Dark> Better than losing her in life.
[20:37:09] <Dark> To find her in death.
[20:37:41] * gimpette thoughtfully smiles. Okay, no I just have to get through this now-till-death thingy.
[20:42:25] <Dark> Hmm...
[20:42:35] <Dark> Our discussion may have given me an idea for a book
[20:42:39] <Dark> A story, at least

  • Gender, what a concept!

This is an essay I wrote but never shared after *last* year's #ComingOutDay. I touched it up a little, but it's still very rough (I've learned a…

  • Where ya from? :)

The following piece is a monologue I performed for "The Griot Show" last weekend: I get asked this question a lot: "Where are you from?"…

  • Coming to rest.

Copied from facebook (sorry, but it's something). One of the topics I was researching yesterday was sundive trajectories. It may be surprising, but…
