The Wreck of You

On a bus with no name

I need to start documenting my dreams, as they have once again gotten vivid.

Last night, I dreamt I got on a bus with no number and no destination.
Night before last, I dreamt that I was a wily young southern man with a talent for obscurity.
Night before, I dreamt Joe (who I now think of as "The Admiral") led an expedition across the frozen (I assume it was (yet) another ice age) mountains of Pennsylvania. It was so icy that the whole caravan lost its footing and slid all the way down to Ohio (where, of course, the abstract concept of flatness becomes reality).

I'm reminded, now that I think of it, that I had a friend in college who referred to me as "Captain" (not cap'n or cap, but actually Captain). I hope this does not cause any rank struggles.

It's finally stopped snowing/raining etc so I went and did an hour of walking/running this morning. As many of you know, my town only has two ways out other than the county road (unless you want to swim the mile across the river) and both involve steep grades. I went out up one of them (the steeper grade) and hit three towns before coming back. After walking for about 1/2 hour, I tried some running (trying not to sprint; it takes practice) and it actually felt good. If I do it about 5 times a week, eventually I'll be running most of it and maybe some day I'll have the body necessary to actually take a bike up one of these hills.
