lord, From this chair of mine...

Tricky Kid

I only get on-line a couple of hours late at night now, so I feel guilty if I don't take that one opportunity to post something. Don't get me wrong; it's nothing I owe to you. I just feel like I have so much to say; I should take the opportunity to say it.

Oh, well. More movie stuff, I guess. I'm watching Hudson Hawk for the third time. I have it on my computer, but I've never actually watched that copy; I've been saving it for some night where I didn't really have anything better to do. I like this movie. I like a lot of stuff that has cool cat-burgulary. I liked Walter Jon Williamson's Drake Majistral novels (or the ONE that I read). I liked RESCUE: The Embassy Mission (for the NES). A lot of stuff that's hardcore cloak and dagger that few people have liked, I've loved. Am I odd? Definitely. Am I still a child who likes to play spy? Without a doubt. Is there anything wrong with that? I said, is there anything wrong with that?

Huh? Why don'tchu com'ere and say dat to my face, huh?

Fucking punk-ass kids. Get offa my property!

Quelle punk!

I don't really like this music, but my mom'll hate it, so I guess it's alright.

AFI - High School Football Hero

The worst song ever

"she's not at work
she's not at school
she's not in bed
I guess I finally broke her"

"a crumpled yellow piece of paper
seven nines
and tens"

"I thought she'd be there holding daisies
She always waits for me"

Someone wrote on a slip of paper they stuck in the sleeve of this single at my radio station "Worst song EVER." I might get the album, since, by definition, every song on it has to be better than this one. And I kinda like this one. A lot.

"We could be heroes, just for one day."

Those British palace guards that never flinch or blink... yeah, those guys were my heroes, too. That kind of discipline is hardcore. I used to practice like that. Maybe I was an odd kid or something. I was all about self-discipline.

Breaking the rules now, though. I really SHOULDN'T be online between 4 and 7pm. That's prime telephone time. We might miss an offer to switch our long distance provider. Speaking of calling people long-distance, I should tell my mom I have a girl-friend and may I please go rack up an amazing bill by talking to her on the phone.

A battering ram beam?

So I'm watching Space Ghost, right? What the fuck? he just used a battering ram beam. Anyhow. I was thinking how it's like Lovecraft (as I've been doing with everything lately, esp. Soundgarden's Superunknown, which really goes along well with ol' H.P.), since the evil dude in this episode just introduced Space Ghost to his evil red two-headed dragon beast. I said, this is kinda hokey, just like H-O-W and the I to the E and the L. to the C. But then I thought, in Lovecraft, the hero would have only read about the beast in a book, and then only just go mad, rather than fire at it with wristblasters. I don't know why

I just heard Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work" in the background behind an ad for the extremely black movie "Love & Basketball." What's up with *that*?!!
